Friendsgiving 2011

It was like Thanksgiving, only way cuter. This year, Robby and I decided to host our first annual Friendsgiving to celebrate how thankful we are for good friends - old and new! It was SUCH a spectacular evening and I feel so blessed that we have so many witty, charming, smart and all around fabulous friends. And although I can't tell you how many times I thought to myself "I am SO hiring a caterer next year." I am happy to report that not one guest was (seriously) injured (to my knowledge) during the making of this Friendsgiving meal! Let the choir sing.

La la la love this group! xx

Dressing Up The Table

I'm learning that I really love to style things. An outfit, a table, an apartment, a dog, a bed, whatever. I just love it. So when my husband and I decided to host our first annual "Friendsgiving" I think I put 90% of my efforts in how I wanted the table to look and about 10% of my time planning the actual meal. Robby must have been anticipating this, so he kindly instructed me to stop trying to shove the 26lb turkey in the microwave and step away from the kitchen. With 18 guests confirmed, the hardest part was simply fitting everyone on the same table! It was definitely cozy, but I think it came together really nicely. I'll post more pics of the soiree soon but for now here's a peek! x

Born With Glitter In Her Veins

The weather is changing, loves. I just heard that this winter will be one of the coldest in Chicago history. Joy. And even though I'll be bundled up like a little snow bunny, I'm determined to put a little but of glam back into my city commuter style! xx
